The Office Assistant is responsible for carrying out clerical tasks such as answering telephones, handling mail, managing files, data entry, coordinate maintenance or repair of office & vendor equipment, maintaining office supplies, and performing other general office clerk duties and errands
The Office Assistant is responsible for carrying out clerical tasks such as answering telephones, handling mail, managing files, data entry, coordinate maintenance or repair of office & vendor equipment, maintaining office supplies, and performing other general office clerk duties and errands
Responsibilities Include:
General clerical duties including filing, copying, scanning, and sorting; Answer phone calls and direct callers to the appropriate party; Process, sort, and route incoming and outgoing mail and packages (USPS, FedEx, UPS, Speedy); Fulfill and ship submittal sample requests; Monitor and manage inventory of office supplies; order and distribute office supplies as necessary; Point of contact for print goods (ex. Business cards, letterhead, etc.); Process certificate of insurance and W-9 requests as needed; Point of contact for office equipment, supply, and service providers (cleaning, copier, rugs, vending, etc.); Facilitate seasonal carpet and window cleaning; Submit Builders Club points monthly; Maintain accurate and sufficient inventory of uniforms, place orders as needed; Uphold a strict level of confidentiality; Other duties as assigned by Supervisors or Management.
Qualifications/Skills Requirements Include:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; 1-3 years of relevant experience in an office setting required, preferably in an administrative or clerical role; Ability to prioritize, including the ability to be Flexibility and re- prioritize as new tasks come in; Proficient computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office; Ability to operate general office equipment; Strong organizational and time management skills; Comfortable working independently, Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including strong spelling, grammar, and punctuation; Must be committed to providing outstanding customer service, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, present a friendly and professional demeanor; Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills; Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Schedule:
Part-Time position working approximately 20 hours per week, within core business hours of 8am-430pm, Monday through Friday.
